Old Souls Meet Young Hearts

This intergenerational project provides students and volunteers with a meaningful opportunity to connect with seniors in the local community through the delivery of regular activities within aged care facilities. By fostering consistent engagement, the program encourages the development of genuine relationships across generations, creating a supportive and enriching environment for everyone involved.

Through thoughtfully planned activities—ranging from social conversations and creative workshops such as arts and crafts to games and shared storytelling—participants not only brighten the lives of residents but also gain valuable insight, empathy, and communication skills. The project promotes mutual learning, reduces social isolation among seniors, and strengthens community bonds by bringing different generations together in a purposeful and rewarding way.

This intergenerational project allows Students and Volunteers to engage with seniors in the local community by running regular activities in their aged care facilities.

International Women's Day 2026

International Women's Day 2026 we invite you to celebrate with us with Devonshire Tea at Peppers Manor House

We will be hopping on our Coolaburoo bus for the lovely drive down to Peppers Manor house in Sutton Forest where will we will have Devonshire tea, get a tour of the historical house and garden and then head into Bowral

Mosaic Class

Join us for a full day of mosaics, imagination, and connection! Guided by our talented artist and teacher Terry, you’ll create beautiful artwork while meeting and collaborating with fellow art lovers. A hands-on, inspiring workshop where creativity, friendship, and fun come together.

Everglades House and Garden tour with Devonshire Tea & Leura

Come join us for a great day out exploring the historical house and beautiful gardens with a guided tour.

Enjoy the: 1930s Van de Velde house with sweeping staircase and art Deco features, Paul Sorensen designed gardens featuring scenic walks, expansive garden terraces, magnificent dry stone walls and a lookout with waterfalls. The gardens have a tranquil grotto and Reflection pool.

Then relax in the tea rooms enjoying Devonshire Tea. We will continue to day by going on a stroll through Leura.

The Riverboat Postman

Come along on our Coolaburoo Bus to Brooklyn and step aboard for a truly memorable day on the water.

Cruise with us on the Hawkesbury Mail Boat, the famous Riverboat Postman, and take in the magnificent scenery of the lower Hawkesbury River. As we travel upriver from Brooklyn, you’ll watch the daily delivery of mail and essential supplies to the unique river-access-only communities that call this beautiful waterway home.

The first Riverboat Postman began this run in 1910, and the tradition continues today with Hawkesbury Cruises, proud custodians of this remarkable journey. Our skippers are lifelong locals who know the river like the back of their hand. Sit back, relax, and enjoy their colourful stories as you cruise in comfort along this spectacular stretch of water.

Along the way, enjoy real coffee, hot tea, and our famous homemade ANZAC biscuits, baked fresh each day to Grandma’s recipe. And of course, we’ll also treat you to a delicious lunch to complete the experience.

After a wonderful day on the river, sit back and relax on the Coolaburoo Bus as we head back to Coolaburoo, reminiscing about a truly special Hawkesbury adventure.
